Hi folks,

usually I don't like to post and ask for help (already mentioned in the one or other thread) but this one, I am stuck into it for 2 days now.

I have a slightly modified Ubuntu Realtime Kernel here (newest build) and Drupal 8 installed.
I guess the version of Drupal isn't of importance in this matters.
I want to upload modules per ftp LOCALLY and tried already a lot of possible configurations.
I am aware of and I know how to install modules on another way.

Inside the web-root I have tried any access-rights up to 777 on any file and folder.
I tried any possibility of changing ownership of the files and folders in the same.

I read the following articles which weren't really helpful to me yet:

I have installed vsftpd and configured like described for example also in

I can't get it running even if I am able to ftp to localhost in a terminal and as any user I wish to log in to.
My iptables allow traffic through localhost.

I need a little help here and as far as I can see it are the documentations listed not consistent.
If you scroll down you can read that people got it working mentioning configurations where it simply can't etc.

I like aiming on solutions, not discussions.
Make suggestions or ask questions to reach the goal to find solutions, don't comment or presume.
