Driver installation issues - Pinnacle MovieBox Deluxe - make: Nothing to be done for `all'.

I downloaded some sort of hacked-together Linux driver for the Pinnacle MovieBox Deluxe today. Here's what happened:

Code:
lawrence@www:~$ cd /usr/local/src
lawrence@www:/usr/local/src$ sudo wget http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/pinnaclembusb/pinnaclembusb/alpha-hackjob-20070105/pinnacle-moviebox-usb-hacking-20061210-2356.tar.gz

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Any thoughts?

ran make clean all. output:

Code:
lawrence@www:/usr/local/src/pmb$ sudo make clean all
[sudo] password for lawrence:
rm -f *.o pmbplay
gcc -c -o pmbplay.o pmbplay.c
gcc -c -o libpmb.o libpmb.c
gcc -lusb -o pmbplay pmbplay.o libpmb.o
gcc -c -o pmbpipe.o pmbpipe.c
gcc -lusb -o pmbpipe pmbpipe.o libpmb.o
Is this good?

(Sorry, I'm entirely new to compiling like this!)

you are aware that that program was in a early testing phase
when it died in 2007
it is not supported

now it might build on a current OS ? but most likely not with the current gcc 4.7

the old - compatibility gcc3.4-compt or maybe with the 4.1 version ( 4.1 might be iffy ?)
and the file from SF is "pinnacle-moviebox-usb-hacking-20061210-2356.tar.gz"

and that was already a precompiled binary

so running "make clean all" removed the OLD precompiled binary
if not then manually delete the *.o object files and the binary programs

it looks like it builds with gcc 3.3 , 4.1 and 4.6

But i have no way to test it
