download manager for Mandrake 9.1

gftp is a Gtk+ based download manager. I think that it comes with Mandrake 9.1.

kbear is a Qt based download manager. Mandrake 9.1 may not include kbear.

Both gftp and kbear are excellent software.

"gftp is a Gtk+ based download manager"

well it's an ftp client... not the same thing really.

go wget or curl.

Is "download manager" the same thing as "ftp server"?

I guess a better question would be for me to ask ayman if he wants a ftp client or a ftp server?

Neither. I thought he was looking for something like wget which would handle ftp, http, etc.

BTW, there are often gui "download managers" that come with your browsers...
