Downgrading XFree86?

I'm currently running SuSE 9.0, and i decided to use yast to upgrade everything on my system, like security packages and so on. So everything with that went off without a hitch and no problems to report.

But my video drivers no longer work properly, IE: poor framerates with glxgears, and thus poor framerates in the games (i have a 9800pro). So i figured i would re-install the drivers as i did before and we would be good. but it wont let me install them i get the following error:

Code:
master@linux:~> su root
Password:
linux:/home/master # cd Desktop
linux:/home/master/Desktop # rpm -Uh --force fglrx-4.3.0-3.7.6.i386.rpm

and execute './make.sh' to build a fully customed kernel module.
Afterwards go to /lib/modules/fglrx and run './make_install.sh'

(see readme.txt for more details.)

As of now you can still run your XServer in 2D, but hardware acclerated

And when i try and do what it says here:

Afterwards go to /lib/modules/fglrx and run './make_install.sh'

I get the following errors:

you might need to adjust your symlinks:

And finally when i try and make_install.sh
Code:

linux:/home/master # cd /lib/modules/fglrx
linux:/lib/modules/fglrx # sh ./make_install.sh

On the ati site the highest XFree86 version supported by their driver is 4.3.0
After my upgrade my XFree86 version is:

Code:
master@linux:~> su root
Password:
linux:/home/master # cd Desktop
linux:/home/master/Desktop # sh check.sh

XFree86 Version 4.3.0.1 is installed.

linux:/home/master/Desktop #
My friend also said that i could jsut remove the updated XFree86 with yast, but there is alot of different programs in yast when i search xfree86, which ones do i remove?:

Any help would be awsome.

Thanks, Nick
