dow copy copy-protected cds with dd commant
 
hi every body
i try to copy normal cd with dd command and it work perfect
dd if=/dev/cdrom of=destination.iso
and it work perfect
but when i try to copy protected cd it dont work.
please give me a soloution

Copy protected means it's illegal to make any copies.

Not true.

You have the right (certainly in the UK) to make backups of any discs you own. The illegal part is when you distribute them.

Without knowing the cd or other facts we can't guess an answer. It is easy to impossible to crack some disks and of course the legal reasons behind it are varied.

Well, aside from the previously-mentioned risks about copy protected CD's, if you'd like any help from anyone, you're going to have to provide more than "it don't work". How about an actual error message? What you did when you got it? What you tried? Version/distro of Linux? Provide details and ask a good question, and you can get help.
