Thumbs up doubt on installing redhat7.1



i am trying to install redhat 7.1 in a system that has already
WIN 98 and 2000.
It is a 40 GB HDD
and 32 GB is utilised by win 98 and 2000
and remaining unpartioned but i am not able to install linux
it is not able to create mount point(partition) for root but i am able to create mount points for swap partiton
Can ne one help me

create a /boot partition first in the primary partition. make it about 16 MB

then create /

and /swap
