Double click speed

Hi everyone,

I want to slow donw the double click speed on a linux system with kde (so slow double clicks work). There is a setting in kde that fix the double click speed (fon instance 9/10second). It work on the kde desktop but not in thunderbird (only normal speed double click work in thunderbird, even with this setting). Any way to fix that problem ?

Thanks for any help,
Christophe

well i see this concerning the issue from Havoc Pennington a very well respected Gnome / Gtk hacker
"But double-click speed is set by individual apps (or by GTK/Qt/etc.,
the toolkit those apps use). At the moment it's not configurable."
13 Feb 2001 -- so it's kind of old ??

you could try to see if x can do it
put this line in ~/.Xresources

thunderbird*multiClickTime: 500

to read it in for testing
xrdb ~/.Xresources

it's read after that on login but i don't think it will work

IMHO this should be addressed and made workable in some universal way by somebody someday
