dotGNU

Hi,
Does anyone have any experience with dotGNU? The company I work for uses .net for some custom developments and the microsoft host servers are typical of MS products - randomly going down sometimes, running slow for no reason, lag as we have to go from our unix oracle box over to the ms .net box etc etc... If I'm honest, the issues are fairly rare, but when they do occur it can mean production downtime and so we absolutely need to minimise any issues where possible. Re-writing the applications is unfortunately not possible.
So - I was going to look into the possibility of trying these apps on a unix server running dotGNU instead and see whether we get better reliability, faster response etc.
My main question is how does dotGNU compare to native MS .net in terms of performance, reliability etc?

Thanks

I don't know dotGNU, but it seems not actively developed anymore. For .net support on Linux, you could also try http://www.mono-project.com.
