A better command (one which might help you find your bookmark file easier at least) might be locate. Try typing 'locate bookmarks'.

find isn't too bad once you get over it's syntax. You can tell find to search for every file on your computer that contains the term 'bookmark' with this line:

find / -iname "*bookmark*"

OK, OK. I'm doin' it! I obviously missed some clues as this thread developed. It's all still so new to me (this Linux thing) that I still am not sure where to focus. I have probably learned 10 new and diverse things along the way. What good are these new things to know? Who knows. (Somebody once remarked to Ben Franklin, when he was fiddling with electricity, "What good is it?" His reply was, "What good is a baby?")
