Does virtualbox have app limitations like WINE does?

I just loaded sun Vbox and had 0 problems.

I'm not entirely sure on the differences between the way WINE and VBox work, but are there a lot of programs that don't run correctly in VBox windows that would if booted to windows?

If not, I may finally be able to make the switch!

If it does have compat problems are there any programs with fewer problems?

They actually do totally different things - like VMWare or KVM, VirtualBox runs ("emulates") a virtual computer whose screen appears as a window on your desktop. You can install a copy of Windows on the virtual machine, and it will run as normal. Most such products create virtual machines with rather limited audio and graphics capabilities, so modern games won't work too well, but any other kind of software is OK. WINE is an Open Source version of the parts of Windows that third-party Windows software need in order to run.
