Question Does Tomcat 6 and Sun JDK 1.6_10 works on Ubuntu 8.10?

Hello, Does Tomcat 6 and Sun JDK 1.6_10 works on Ubuntu 8.10, please? I've downloaded Struts 2.1.6 and did copy the struts2-blank-2.1.6.war to /var/lib/tomcat6/webapps. It shows as deployed on the Tomcat Web Application Manager, but it doesn't run. Any ideas, please?

Yes, it works fine.

I was slowly to see the log:
"Caused by: java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.util.PropertyPermission org.apache.commons.logging.LogFactory.HashtableImpl read)"

So the newbie here, I disabled the security manager:
# vim /etc/default/tomcat6
...
TOMCAT6_SECURITY=no
...
