Exclamation does anybody know were I can download "The Ultimate Linux Desktop"?


hey, I've been having some trouble configurating my laptop, for some tasks it requests the "The Ultimate Linux Desktop" so it can detect the laptop's hardware for example, and several of my classmates are having the same problem, can some tell me were can I download it?

There's not such a thing. Sorry. Your best bet is to pickup a distro, install it and post messages here with detailed problems: What you are doing, your system specifications, what is not working (copy and past error messages) and things like this.

This is your second post and with all due respect, all we know is that you have a HP laptop. We don't know what you are trying to do, what errors you are getting... heck, we not even know the distribution you are using (you may consider update your profile). Like this you won't go very far.

With that in mind, if your distribution is not detecting all your hardware, you most likely will have similar problems with different distributions. Your best bet is try to fix them with your distro of choice, either by downloading drivers, compiling the kernel or simply by editing some configuration files.

P.S: or do you mean the Mandriva Powerpack disk1?

I believe that is what he is referring to, I just googled it.

That looks to be the most likly scenario, but it looks like they use it as a generic term in that respect.
