Document Sharing Systems
Hello All!!
I'm looking for some good open source software to manage my documents over the internet, something similar to Google Spreadsheet where it allows me to share documents and set permissions to the users who are gonna access them.
Daily I have to develop technical documentation to my customers describing steps I've performed to solve a problem and I usually need to share docs with the guys who works with me so I'd like to install a "Document Sharing System" server to help me handle this kind of information.
Thank You for your help!!
Regards
Rodrigo

Google Docs and Spreadsheets borrow a lot of ideas from "Wiki" software, so I'd suggest that you start by looking at those kinds of applications. MoinMoin is popular and supports ACLs, but there are lots of others.

Hello hob!
Wiki softwares seems to be good but it's not exactly what we're looking for. I've did a research and I discovered a software called Lore at http://www.pineappletechnologies.com/products/lore, it seems to fit my needs but unfortunately it's not free. I'd appreciate if you tell me any software similar to this one that's under a free license.
Thank You
Regards,
Rodrigo

You probably want a "Content Management System" (CMS), then. Most of these are modular and customizable, so that you can assemble exactly the site that you want.
This site lets you try out a number of different CMS on-line:
