dnrd: can't get periodic logging to work

Hi All,

I've compiled dnrd 2.20.3 from source and installed it on a Ubuntu 6.10 system. It appears to be basically working. But I can't seem to get it to periodically log its stats to syslog.

The command line (from the ps command) is :

Code:
dnrd -l -s xx.xx.xx.xx -s yy.yy.yy.yy -i --stats=600
I considered the posbiilty that maybe the order of options mattered, so I also tried:

Code:
dnrd -sxx.xx.xx.xx -s yy.yy.yy.yy -i --stats=600 -l
My understanding is the above command should cause an output of statistics every 600 seocnds (10 minutes) but I can't find anything in /var/log[/syslog.

The relevant entry from /etc/syslog.conf is:

Code:
*.*;auth,authpriv.none -/var/log/syslog
One other thing to note: Originally I tried "-S 600" instead of "--stats=600" which is supposed to be a valid option. However, using "-S" produced an error message and the deamon did not start.
