Displaying users email quota in SM?

I've set-up my email server using postfix | dovecot | squirrelmail. now I set my mailbox_size_limit=100mb in main.cf.

Does anybody know how the quota space can be show in the webmail specifically squirrel mail? something like a graph or percent of the space used.

I've been trying to wrestle quotas using postfix and dovecot and I also cannot find a sane alternative to email quotas. The closest I've seen is using cyrus imap but I'm not too convinced because cyrus uses its own account database and I like to use mysql for authentication. Dovecot has a plugin but it only somewhat works with the mbox format and I prefer the Maildir format where each message is a separate file. Hard quotas are not recommended because that makes the imap servers lock up. I've heard of qmail having quota but I like postfix and dovecot. The best alternative that I can think of for postfix and dovecot is to create a script of soft quotas; a script that outputs each user's accumulated space and that it then notifies the user and the administrator; also a script that can automatically purge old email messages that surpass the soft quotas.

i already thought of writing a script but i'm not good on that. i just want to have a graph or something on the webmail so that the users will know how much space they still have in their email accounts. i've read about a patch but i'm not sure if that will work.

anyone have set-up squirrel mail?

thanks for the reply ramram29!
