I have spent most of this day trying to install SuSE 7.2 with absolutely no
luck. I go through the entire process including setting my partitions up,
but after answering "yes-install" it proceeds to partition and format my
hard drive as it should. After waiting about 30 seconds, I get an error
message:
"The disk has an unsupported partition table.
Please repartition disk /dev/hdb."
Anyone have any ideas as to what is causing this? How to fix it? I can
install any other distro without any problems (rhat, mandrake, progeny,
redmond, etc).
This is the retail version SuSE 7.2 Personal.
My system:
AMD Athlon 800Mhz
512M PC133
hda=Fujitsu 20G - Windows XP RC2
hdb=WD 13.6G - Empty (at this time)
hdc=HP CDRW 9110i
hdd=LS120
Floppy (Generic)
SB Live! (original)
M$ Intellimouse Explorer USB optical
V5 5500 AGP video
D-Link 530TX NIC
Thanks in advance for any and all assistance.
