Disable Open Office Autoformatting

I have searched all throught the options menus and cannot find out how to disable autoformatting. It is driving me a bit crazy as when I start a line with a "1." and later press the "enter" key, it auto-indents that line and the next line.

Can someone help me figure out how to keep Open Office Writer ver 2.0 from doign anything other than what I tell it to do?

Thank You,

I feel your pain. I also hate it when wordprocessors try to help too much.

This will only apply if Oo2 is like Oo1.1.1.

Sounds like Oo is automaticically applying 'numbering and lists' as you type.

On menu, Tools>AutoCorrect/AutoFormat...
Brings up the tabbed dialogue box.
On 'Options' tab there is a long list of autoformatting options that you will have to uncheck individually.
Sounds like you will want to get rid of anything to do with bullets/lists, numbering and indents.
Also on the menu, go to Tools > AutoFormat and make sure that "While typing" is not enabled.
Good luck.
