Directory Listing In Redhat 9

i have some directories in my linux partition, which i want to display in my web browser. i had configured in httpd.conf as well but when i open that url i get below error.

Access forbidden!
You don't have permission to access the requested directory. There is either no index document or the directory is read-protected.
If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster
Error 403
192.168.1.2
Thu 12 Jun 2008 11:57:57 AM IST
Apache/2.0.40 (Red Hat Linux)

about permission issue i had given rights for administrator user and in httpd.conf also administrator user configured instead of apache user.

i think there is no index.html document only folders that is why this error coming.please show me the way how do i display my directories in web browser, also i want delete and copy button for the directory listing.

do a chmod 755 on everything in the directory (and the directory its self) and see if that works for you
it will give root Full group and other read and execute
-rwxr-x-r-x file.whatever

your index.html should be in /var/www/html/
