Cool diffs in openssl - r/h to mandrake

Newbie asks most plaintively;

(AMD K-6 running Mandrake 8.2)
(Trying to add Okidata ML-320 printer)

My new OmniOkidata printer driver (non-MDK RPM from SourceForge) sez I need libcrypto.so.2, libpng.so.2, and libssl.so.2. I found them in, and downloaded, openssl (r/h) rpm from RPM-find, but the install won't work because openssl(MDK), same version, is already installed.

Removing openssl(mdk) requires the removal of LOTS of apps. Not an option, methinks, as I don't know if the openssl(r/h) rpm will put them all back.

What IS a girl to do? (Quote from Frasier Crane, for P/C persons).

Thanx in advance:
