Difficulties with Yum

Just installed Fedora Core 5 and doing yum update
However, when I type in this command I get:
Cannot find a valid baseurl for repo: core
Error: Cannot find a valid baseurl for repo: core

Read a few blogs and uncommented the first baseurl in /etc/yum.repos.d/fedora-core.repo

Now I try again yum update and I get this error message:
http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pu...ta/repomd.xml: [Errno 14] HTTP Error 404: Date: Sat, 11 Jul 2009 20:38:04 GMT
Server: Apache
Content-Length: 249
Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1
Trying other mirror.
Cannot open/read repomd.xml file for repository: core
failure: repodata/repomd.xml from core: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try.
Error: failure: repodata/repomd.xml from core: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try.

What am I doing wrong??? Thank you.
