diff-patch

I have downloaded sometime ago xmame-mess 0.62.2, now a new version apperead, and there is a diff file to upgrade it to 0.65. I've downloaded this diff file, but i'm unable to apply this.

The alternative, very easy, would be to download the whole bzip2 archive ( 9 mb ) but i want to be able to upgrade the source code i have ( also i have a very very slow connection )

How can i proceed? [ i have played a bit with patch, but without results ]

Thanks in adv.

What syntax for patch were you using?
What were the error messages you got? :)

A bit more of information would be nice,
as far as I know none of us here are
clairvoyant ;)

Cheers,
Tink
