KMerlin does it all but file send and receive.

I have this installed on RedHat 8.0 and it was all very easy to do.

just my little bit.

sod both of them, most people here will recommend gaim.sf.net

this is what I like

I did'nt know these other existed. But I will now try all of them and see how they are.

Do any of them support file transers?
