Dictating download speeds in Firefox

I have a wireless connection and about the max download speed I can get is 140kb/s. Is it possible to set a cap on this so more bandwidth can be dedicated to browsing so it doesn't come to a screeching halt. I'm not even sure this is possible, but I'm curious.

All help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Brandon

You know, that may be exactly what I need. That first link also solves another problem I was having. Not being able to download stuff over 3GB. It would freeze at about 94% and not continue. Thanks for the links, I'll look into this when I get home.

Thanks,

Brandon
