DICOM image file batch convert.

Hya,

Goal:
Convert numerous image files (DICOM format) into png (or whatever).

I have done:
Wrote a script using convert (Imagemagick).

What happened:
Some of them go well. Some do not. Entire black square shows up. No error message shows up.

I have found:
The ones which fails, display (imagemagick) also shows black square. Gimp can open, save as png. (Macintosh Graphic Converter also). But I have not found the way to batch convert.

www.imagemagick.org has several similar threads. They say "send these files to them" to reproduce problem. It is impossible for privacy reason.

My system:
Debian Lenny

Question:
Does anybody have a good idea?

Happy Penguins!

Must be a problem with imagemagick. If GIMP works try a batch processing plugin:
http://members.ozemail.com.au/~hodsond/dbp.html

Not sure if this supports it, but try:
http://www.graphicsmagick.org/
based on imagemagick, but less buggy (usually)

For the record David's Batch Processor is available for Debian in the gimp-plugin-registry package.

You can also do batch processing directly from the command line.
