Question Diary/Journal Program

I was looking for some diary/journal program for writting down my thoughts topic-wise, but not necessarily date-wise. I dont want a livejournal client. My need is to keep local diary, not to publish in web. Desired features are spell check, password, hierarchy, text organization, search, tagging, wiki like text relation, etc. I would certainly appreciate more features. There are many in apps in sourceforge, but many of them are very old and seems the developer have stopped development, and thus going for them wont be a good idea. Also, my use is basically on desktop not palm.

Here are few prominent diary/journal/notetaking apps that I have come across while surfing forums:

1. Memoranda.
2. Ejourn.
3. tomboy
4. hbn.
5. knowit
6. Gournal
7. NoteMeister
8. Gnome Vazaar
9. BasKet.
10. Newton Desktop Wiki.
11. jarnal.
12. notecase

Also, to include are various wikis available. I really liked tiddlywiki that can be used for diary/journal need.

Can anyone suggest one good app.

Thanks in advance.
