/dev/sda and /dev/sda1 disappeared using sii3112A
Hi,
I've got a problem that I can't explain. I've got a SiI3112A PCI serial ATA card that by all appearances is working fine. I've compiled a custom 2.6.8 kernel (which is working perfectly in all other areas) but not this one. Anyway the card is working fine in Windows, and I had it working before in linux, but for some reason with my debian box it's not working at all. Everything appears to be working except /dev/sda and /dev/sda1 (where the drive's ntfs partitions are) aren't there! All other /dev/sd's are there including /dev/sda2 and so on. My /proc/partitions file reads it to be there as well. Here's the appropriate bootup messages: Everything seems to be working fine. sata_sil version 0.54 ACPI: PCI interrupt 0000:00:0d.0[A] -> GSI 11 (level, low) -> IRQ 11 ata1: SATA max UDMA/100 cmd 0xF8B64080 ctl 0xF8B6408A bmdma 0xF8B64000 irq 11 ata2: SATA max UDMA/100 cmd 0xF8B640C0 ctl 0xF8B640CA bmdma 0xF8B64008 irq 11 ata1: dev 0 cfg 49:2f00 82:346b 83:7f21 84:4003 85:3469 86:3c01 87:4003 88:203f ata1: dev 0 ATA, max UDMA/100, 234441648 sectors: lba48 ata1: dev 0 configured for UDMA/100 scsi0 : sata_sil ata2: no device found (phy stat 00000000) scsi1 : sata_sil Vendor: ATA Model: WDC WD1200JD-00F Rev: 02.0 Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 05 SCSI device sda: 234441648 512-byte hdwr sectors (120034 MB) SCSI device sda: drive cache: write back sda: sda1 Attached scsi disk sda at scsi0, channel 0, id 0, lun 0 Can anyone give a possible explanation? |
