/dev/gpmctl error for nano
I could copy with a mouse from Nano. Now I can't highlight and my logs are telling me that Nano is looking for /dev/gpmctl. I tried installing gpm and upgrading libgpm2 to no effect.
If I disable the mouse in /etc/nanorc I can highlight. I would like to be able to do both though -- have the mouse enabled in Nano and highlight in Nano. |
I use Vim and have the same quandary. I don't think there's a good way around it.
The best I've been able to do is exit vim (or open a sub-shell) cat the file, mousing that output. If the file is huge, I'll write a temporary file containing just the lines I want copied. /me bookmarks the thread in case someone smarter than he is finds it and has a real answer... |
