Determining IBM Model Number

In AIX I can get the model number of the machine by using uname -M. Is there a method to get that same info if Linux is installed? I have been doing some searching for the past month but my terms are rather broad and nothing has surfaced.

Thanks.

Try 'uname -i' or 'uname -m'

Those return machine information but not the model number. On an AIX box, if I type:

$ uname -M
IBM,7026-H50

I get that model number. Since it appears to be available to AIX, is there a way to get that same info on an IBM machine that has linux installed?

Thanks for the answer though.

That's done it. Thanks for the pointer. Lots more good information there too.
