desktop access button on panel
I am trying to get desktop access button by default on the kicker(panel)
Can anybody guide me? I know a panel content can be added by using dcop but desktop access button is a special button. Any KDE gurus out there can guide me |
Gnome have a button like this in case you want to switch Desktop environments

I am using KDE and gnome cannot be used.
KDE3.4 |
Is this what you mean?
Right-click on Panel. Follow "Panel Menu", "Add to Panel", "Special Button". On my KDE 3.4 the desktop one is second from the top of the resulting menu. |
no no i know how to add it manually, i want to make it default as in windows
|
What do you mean "default"? After you add it, it stays until you remove it. Anyway, look for the file named 'kickerrc'. Mine is in ~/.kde/share/config/ for the per-user config and /etc/kde/ for all-user defaults. The syntax of the file is pretty self-explanatory.
