Dell Mini 10v broadcom driver issue

when I enable the broadcom driver on my 10v(i opt'd for the 802.11n upgrade) it installs fine and you see it change to in use and will pick up wireless networks but of course it wants to restart. after i restart the driver is still enabled but changes to not in use and the wireless doesn't work. i have found a temp solution where i disable and then re-enable the driver each time but that is becoming a hassle. any ideas on why it goes to not in use and how to fix it so it'll stay on?

Thumbs up

Well I was finally able to download 9.04 Jaunty and with a little help from http://www.ubuntumini.com/2009/03/ub...e-beta-on.html I did a clean install and it fixed the problem. The only thing that I have notice so far is a slight annoyance with the touch pad. It now seems to be super sensitive but at least the wireless card works without having to do "sudo modprobe wl" every time. And since 8.04 doesn't have a usb-creator you'll have to do a google search for it since "sudo apt-get install usb-creator" can't find it either. Download the ISO make your USB key. Then when I went to install and Gparted started I did advance deleted all partitions since Dell doesn't support Jaunty anyway and did one partition of ext4 without swap. Now it is the computer I was originally expecting. Not the watered down Hardy we got.
