DeLi Linux Root Disk Problem

I'm trying to install Deli Linux on a Packard Bell with a 486DX2 CPU and 24MB of RAM. This system BIOS only allows booting from the floppy drive or hard drive not the CDROM drive

The problem I'm having is that after the boot disk loads the RAM DISK and asks for the root disk to be inserted and I <enter> to run the root disk I get the following on screen and the floppy drive just spins (I let it run for almost an hour just to see)

RAMDISK: compressed image found at block 0
divide error: 0000
CPU: 0
(The following lines have long strings of numbers and letters I didn't copy down)
EIP
EFLAGS
eax ebx ecx edx
esi edi ebp esp
process swapper
Stack
Call Trace:
code

If anyone needs the exact numbers/letters in these lines I will provide them.

Because I am a :newbie: I may be doing something stupid and not know it.

This has been a fun project for me since the computer was in pieces and at first wouldn't pass the POST test at start-up. I'm hoping to fully resurrect the computer with the DeLi Linux OS. :)

Any help would be appreciated
