Ok mi trying setup ddclient but i cant quite get it to work. in the ddclient.conf file im not sure what options to use. ive got a westell wirespeed modem whose IP is 192.168.1.254, thats the page that tells the IP address that needs to be updated by dyndns.org, but then im using a dlink router whos IP address is 192.168.0.1. do i use the FW method or the web method? can anyone help me out here?

Use the web method, it should work no matter how your local setup actually looks. It is also often the easiest way of getting it going if you have a private IP address but want to update your public (external) one.

I use dyndns.org and here are the parts that aren't commented out (this is with an interface-based setup rather than web check though):

hostname.mine.nu

Read the documentation and comments in the example ddclient.conf, it's not that hard to figure out.
