Has anyone successfully installed this programs on a mandrake system?
My university has a direct connect hub, where I can get pretty much anything at near 500k/s, but I can't access it with linux because I simply cannot get the direct connect client to work.
Other people in the university have got it to work fine, but none of them run mandrake. I succesfully compile and install both dctc and dc_gui, but I clicking on the drop downs in dc_gui has no effect while running it.
I am using the dctc client with Madrake 10 on my machine, and its simply great and indeed the most powerful one!
You can probably look for the following 2 rpms, I got then from these links only
I also have some related problem. I have installed dc++ and it is connecting to the hub. But whenever I try to download. In the status tab "GDL", it shows the waiting status and it goes on waiting and waiting never downlaods. I am using mandrake 9.2 distro, dc_gui version is 0.76.
Please help
Thanks.

try running dc_gui2 from the terminal, it will most probably show up some or the other error messages, may be that can prove some help, because I have never encountered such a problem. Look at the error messages and post them.
