dcm4chee - does it produce invalid dicom files when requesting through wado?

I'm running some tests with dcm4chee that involve wado. I uploaded a multiframe dicom file with dcmsnd and now I'm retrieving it through wado. The file I get (tried with wget) can't be converted with medcon. The file is about the same size of the original dicom file I sent (only about 6 bytes smaller when served from dcm4chee) but binary differences are all over the place. I expected to get the original file from dcm4chee but apparently it's recreated from scratch.

$ wget -O prueba.dcm "http://localhost:8080/wado?requestType=WADO&contentType=application/dicom&studyUID="
