dc++ or similar

Hi! I'm using the latest version of Ubuntu linux. I tried a few dc++ clients and also tried to run the dc++ for windows using wine but this also didn't work. I wanted to ask if anybody knows a program that works normally and how to find and install it. Thanks very much.
Victor.
