Unhappy DB Support


Does Linux 6.0 Supports Oracle 10g? i have tried to install oracle 10g in linux 6.0. I am getting error message "Failed to Open installation file"

Which "Linux 6.0" are you talking about??

And yes, Oracle 10G is supported under several different distros of Linux...Oracle's website can tell you more, and it runs nicely under CentOS as well. Since Oracle is a paid-for product, you should contact Oracle support, and get them to assist you. If you're running it on RHEL 6.0, then you've got support from both parties, that you can contact.

And if you put in "rhel 6.0 oracle 10g installation" into Google, you'll find lots, including step-by-step directions.
