date and clock problem
 
hi im using gentoo and i have a problem every time a turn my computer on i have to set the correct date and time cause it is wrong the computer dont remember the date and hour how can i fix this... i temporarily solve it using ntp client but its no use when i dont have internet

You need to change a specific line in /etc/conf.d/clock. The line is CLOCK_SYSTOHC="yes", then the clock will overwrite the hardware clock on shutdown. This will do the same thing as you manually changing your hardware clock in your BIOS.
