Dashboard for Linux

Are there any Mac OS X Dashboard-like products for Linux? I have been searching through Google and haven't found any. I really like how the dashboard can be hidden from the desktop and an be recalled with a click of the mouse. I know of SuperKaramba, but is that the best there is? Does anyone know of any such software? Thanks.

You might want to look into gkrellm2 and torsmo, though in my opinion they can't hold a candle to superkaramba. There isn't anything out there yet that can be hidden with keystrokes like dashboard can. Maybe in KDE 4.0, that would be cool

For GNOME you could have a look at gDesklets (http://gdesklets.gnomedesktop.org/)

I'd give gDesklets a go. Martin Grimme has mentioned on an unrelated mailing list that they are looking at implementing this in gDesklets. I can't find the message in my Inbox at the moment but I think he said it was partially complete so that might be what you're looking for.
