D-Link DWL-G132 Ndiswrapper Help

hey everyone,

I'm running Ubuntu 6.10, and I just got a new wireless adapter (DLink DWL-G132), and I cannot install it. I've been reading on various forums that I had to install two drivers, NetA5AGU.inf and athfmwdl.inf. But I'm still having problems after installing these two drivers.

When I type 'sudo ndiswrapper -l' the two drivers were installed, but the message beside both drivers says 'invalid driver'.

Here's what I typed in terminal

'sudo modprobe -r ndiswrapper'
'sudo ndiswrapper -i /path/to/directory/containing/drivers/athfmwdl.inf'
'sudo ndiswrapper -i /path/to/directory/containing/drivers/NetA5AGU.inf'
'sudo modprobe ndiswrapper'

If anyone can help me it would be appreciated.

I am trying something similar with edubuntu 7.04.

try 'sudo ndiswrapper -r <lower case driver name. No inf)' To remove the driver.
Then added them back. I didn't see the invalid driver issue after. If its still a problem install the drivers in reverse order. May be it would help.

My current problem is the drivers are 32 bit but my kernel is 64 bit. Not sure how to go forward from here.
