cyrus imap authentication problem
Hi all, first of all I want to say that english is not my native language so forget please any mistakes I make, but anyway
I have upgraded my cyrus imap to version 2.2.12.
The problem is when I want to use "cyradm -u cyrus localhost" and I type password for cyrus user it gives me an error.
"badlogin: localhost.localdomain [127.0.0.1] plaintext cyrus SASL(-1): generic failure: checkpass failed"
I use saslauthd for authentication mechanism. When I use "testsaslauthd -u cyrus -p password" it returns with success, so it means authentication works
When I go back to my old cyrus version which has been configured exactly like the new one everything works just fine.
this is the configure file I use for cyrus
this is imapd.conf file
admins: cyrus # no admins!
no matter wich mechanism I choose for saslauthd demon ( pam, shadow ), testing gives me OK result for the cyrus user.
Please help I do not know what could cause the problems.
