Hello,

I have just downloaded cygwin installation files from cygwin.com. However, I am not able to execute the gcc and g++ compilers (g++-3.exe, gcc-3.exe ) since the executable files are corrupted to g++3.exe.dam and gcc-3.exe.dam files. The files are not cleaned when scanned through latest antivirus. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue? Is it a virus? I have WinXP SP2 system.

Well, if the files are corrupted, you can download them again. As far as what to do...this is LinuxQuestions, and you have a Windows XP system. You may want to ask Windows questions, on a Windows related forum, or check Cygwin's forums..
