cxoffice users question

Printing is too bold in MS Word.
I have no choice on fonts. I have to use Courier 12 only.
Has anyone been able to get cxoffice not to print so bold.
It would probably take a full black ink cartridge to print a few hundred pages.
Using an Epson Stylus C82.

Thanks,
Don
