cvs configuration


Hello, i have installed in these day linux mandrake 10 comunity edition and i have tried to configuring the CVS , the repository is successfully created but when try login from another PC on the lan with windows xp and WinCVS the program return this error

cvs [login aborted]: connect to linuxport:2401 failed: Impossibile stabilire la connessione. Rifiuto persistente del computer di destinazione.

eng traduction :
(impossible to estabilish a connection, persistent refusion of destination computer)

what is the cause of this error?

excuse for the bad english

Have you checked that your firewall lets through cvs requests?
How do you connect to the cvs? pserver, rsh or ssh?

i have find the problem are in cvs config files in the CVSROOT and another config excuse for the bad english :P thx for the response
