CVS client Linux and server on Win 2000
I want to create source repository on Windows 2000 and I have to use client on Red Hat 6.2 and Red Hat 7.1. I dont know witch applications have to install on Windows 2000 and on Linux. ┐Could you help me?
You just have to share out the folder or drive on the Win2k box.
For the linux clients you use the SAMBA client. Either you add an entry to your /etc/fstab, or you use the command "mount -t smbfs"
samba.org has lots of help.
If you have anyother questions about samba, or are confused with the documentation, post a follow up.
Oops! Didn't read you question well enough. Sorry.
cvshome.org has the server software on their website for windows. Also they should have lots documentation. They use cvs off a win2k machine at work, and it works very well.
Most linux distros come with the command line of cvs. Also any ide should be able to work with cvs fine.
