custom web interface for linux

hi,

i'm trying to create web interface for linux. for example to monitor server we have to check load, cpu usage, memory usage uptime etc.. we can do it with following commands
Quote:
[root@www ~]# uptime
01:41:56 up 11:10, 2 users, load average: 0.01, 0.17, 0.20
[root@www ~]# free -m
total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 3741 2159 1581 0 148 590
-/+ buffers/cache: 1419 2321
Swap: 0 0 0
[root@www ~]# who
root tty7 2011-12-12 20:58 (:0)
root pts/0 2011-12-13 00:41 (:0.0)
found a link similar to it
http://www.cyberciti.biz/tips/executing-linuxunix-commands-from-web-page-part-i.html"]
it was in cgi script. is there any other languages we can use for linux. Another thing is it's not exactlt i was lookingfor, my require ment is, if i want squid browsing report. i want to view access log of a user manny.
Quote:
# grep manny /var/logs/squid/access.log
1323634396.478 17 192.168.85.55 TCP_MISS/200 539 GET http://www.google-analyti cs.com/__utm.gif? - DIRECT/74.125.236.104 image/gif
so i can see the site, time size etc.. Now i want some thing that helps me show this squid report on web interface like above link.
can any one give me some help so that i can google with your suggestions.
another example for you to better under stand...to add user
but i want web interface where there will be username, uid, guid, homedirectory colum, like swithes for useradd command
Quote:
# useradd -u 566 -d /var/test_home -c "test_comment" test
[root@www ~]# grep test /etc/passwd
test:x:566:566:test_comment:/var/test_home:/bin/bash
my requirement is if i open one web page, there should be a user add button. when i click on it it should show boxes to enter username uid gid home directory path comment etc.

Have a look at phpsysinfo, I think it's similar to what you're trying to accomplish. It might help to see how it works.
