Custom Linux distro

Hi there,

I want to create a modified CentOS 5.3 based distro. It would just be for my own use.

The customisation would be the inclusion of an additional driver and some files in a directory on /

The inclusion of the driver is to facilitate a RAID controller that the OS does not recognise out of the box (link)

Apologies if this is vague, but I'm not entirely sure how to ask the question.

You can do a modified install using a Kickstart file: http://www.centos.org/docs/5/html/5....t2-howuse.html

At work, we use kickstart file on a web browser to install RHEL over the network and then add in our own software in a %post script. It's a lot easier to set up to install from a web browser than from a CD, as you don't then have to worry about building ISO images and setting checksums.
