custom knoppix cd

Greetings everyone,

I have a corrupted laptop, which I wish to use temporarily through Knoppix. However, the ethernet drivers that come with Knoppix aren't compatible with my Dell Latitude D800 laptop ethernet card, so I'm trying to create my own custom Knoppix cd with the different drivers built-in. I have access to a Windows machine with Cygwin. The Dell D800 ethernet modules require a compilation to be completely installed, so I figure I have two options:

1) put the tarball on the knoppix cd and install once knoppix boots
2) use cygwin on my XP machine to install the drivers first, then burn the cd

My only problem is I don't know how to make my new custom Knoppix cd bootable. I have Roxio on my computer, and there is an option to create Bootable CD Projects. This could serve as a possible solution, but I haven't gotten it to work yet. Any suggestions/ideas/solutions? Thanks everyone.
