The lastest supported kernel from centos update repo is 2.6.9-34. When i update my system i did:
yum --enablerepo=centosplus --disablerepo=update install kernel
the kernel 2.6.9-188.8.131.52.upsupport was installed(i need this for my TV card)
Then, i use:
yum --exclude=kernel --exclude=kernel-devel update (this to prevent update kernel 2.3.4 from centos update repo)
As a result, the newest kernel has not been updated but all other packages had. When i tried to boot from kernel 2.6.6-184.108.40.206.unsupport, cups can not start. However, when i install the kernel 2.6.9-34, cups can start without problem. Is there anyway to roll back all the packages that can run with old kernel?
