CUPS printers disable

Hello!! we have many printers setup with CUPS and sometimes printers automatically disable themselves. I can see the status when i run 'lpstat -d -p|grep PRINTER1'. We're running RHEL4 AS. Would it be CUPS thats automatically disabling printer(s) if there are to many jobs in a queue??? not sure...appreciate any help or to point me in the right direction...

Thanks.

You can use the HTTP interface to CUPS to see things like the access log, error log, etc. Start a web browser on the machine running the CUPS daemon. Set the URL to localhost:631. Click on the Administration link. If it asks you for a user name then log on as root.
