cups-lpd is not working from remote PC

Hi all.
Recently I've installed a FC4 with an HP OfficeJet 6210 USB printer. I would like to share this printer through the network using LPD with other servers and clients.
This FC4 has CUPS installed (updated to 1.2.rc3 using yum to be fully updated) and the printer runs file locally.
Now I'm trying to use this printer from a W2K client using LPD (mandatory) so CUPS client has cups-lpd package installed too.

When I try to send a print job from W2K appears this errors on log:
I [12/May/2006:07:38:36 +0200] Adding start banner page "none" to job 53.
I [12/May/2006:07:38:36 +0200] Job 53 created on "colordes" by "Administrador".
E [12/May/2006:07:38:36 +0200] Send-Document client-error-document-format-not-supported: Unsupported format 'application/octet-stream'!
I [12/May/2006:07:38:36 +0200] Hint: Do you have the raw file printing rules enabled?
E [12/May/2006:07:39:42 +0200] Job ID 53 has no files! Cancelling it!

Both files (mime.types and mime.convs) has been modified to allow remote printing, this is:
application/octet-stream application/vnd.cups-raw 0 -

and
application/octet-stream

Anyone can tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks a lot.

It could be possible that share the printer using samba will work but I have to use LPD. It's mandatory for other SWs running inside that can't be upgraded to CUPS.

You can use whatever spooler (lpd, cups, etc.) you want on the computer that has the printer, but in order to share access to that spooler to windows, you usually need to use samba. samba is not a printing protocol, it is the windows networking protocal and is needed to communicate with windows.

**edit**
If you want, you can also share with ipp to other Linux machines that have lpd, but samba will work with them to if you want to keep it uniform.
